Hi my name is Laura and I would like to tell you a little bit more about myself.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope that I can have the honour of meeting you and walking beside you on whichever journey life is taking you on at this moment.
I am a mum to two beautiful daughters and our little family dog. I am from Fife but have lived and worked in both the east and west coast of Scotland.
I love meeting new people and have enjoyed doing voluntary and paid work with people from every age range and walk of life. I am down to earth and I love nothing more than having a good laugh and sharing stories.

In my heart I believe I started my celebrant journey many years ago as a young woman who wanted to work supporting people through life's more difficult journeys.

I trained as a mental health nurse and moved into supporting people who were recovering from addictions. During this time I trained as a counsellor and had the privilege of supporting many people through one-to-one work and sharing their journey towards brighter days.

A few years ago I spoke at my Gran's funeral. I shared just how much she had meant to me and her other granddaughters. This experience changed my life and gave me a sense of healing and purpose. I knew then that this was a direction that I wanted my career to take.
Using my creative skills, my love for getting to know people and my passion for public speaking made becoming a Celebrant a natural choice for me.

I trained with Neil Dorward and Annie Scrimgeour at the 'Celebrant Training Academy Scotland' and I passed the course with Distinction.
I am passionate about my own continuing professional development and reputation and as such I am proud to say that I am a Member of SICA (Scottish Independent Celebrants' Association). SICA are a professional body, that promote and support the highest standards of Scottish Celebrancy. I adhere to SICA's Code of Conduct, GDPR statement and complaints procedure. I am also covered by SICA's insurance and public liabity. I also complete annual professional development hours and peer reviews.

I love to think outside of the box and find it a privilege to create ceremonies that are as unique as the person you have lost or the life moments you are celebrating.

I believe ceremonies should reflect who we are, how we have touched those around us and capture moments to be remembered forever.

My motto here at Evermore Civil Ceremonies is “Always, Forever, Eternally”, that is simply what Evermore means.
I believe that no matter what event you wish to mark in life the memories will last eternally.
