Pet Urn

Pet Memorials

The pain of losing a beloved pet is often overlooked. We don't get bereavement leave from work, counselling offered or a sympathy card through the post.

In fact the first question we are often asked after a pet dies is

"Are you getting another one?"

We would never dream of asking a new widow if they were planning on getting  a replacement spouse the day after their death.

Pets are not simply replaceable and their death leaves a huge hole in our lives. We go through the same grieving process as we would with the passing of a human loved one.

Our routines are changed, our homes feel empty and so do our hearts.

These  gentle souls have come into our lives and through their big eyes and even bigger hearts they have blessed us with unconditional love and been by our sides through the highs and lows of life.

When a pet dies they too deserve the best. They deserve to be remembered and they deserve a good farewell.

At Evermore Civil Ceremonies I know the power of pets and the difference they make to our world and I would be honoured to help you to lay your beloved companion to rest.

Just like with a funeral I will meet with you and you can share stories of your pet and show me pictures.  When you are ready, (and it doesn't need to be straight away) I will deliver a fitting tribute to your pet and help you as you bury them, scatter their ashes, plant a tree or put up a little garden memorial. The choice is completely yours.

Gone but most definitely not forgotten and forever in our hearts.
